Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. About this policy

AI Video Detector lets you upload a video, check its frames and audio for AI-generation signals, and review a detection report. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the website, your account, My Video, and support. Contact us using the address at the end of this page for privacy questions.

2. Information used for video detection

Account information includes your email address, profile details, authentication records, and session information. For a detection task, we process the uploaded video and its audio, file name, size and format, task identifiers, service responses, and timestamps. A video can contain personal information about you or other people; upload only content you are entitled to submit.

We also process support messages, payment and subscription references, and technical information such as device/browser details, network addresses, page activity, and error logs. Payment providers process payment details; the application keeps transaction and entitlement records rather than your full card details.

3. Purposes and service providers

We use information to authenticate users, upload and preview videos, request detection, retrieve results, maintain My Video records, manage billing, resolve support requests, and investigate errors or misuse. These activities support delivering the requested service, operating and protecting it, and meeting applicable obligations; where consent is required, that requirement applies.

Cloudflare provides application infrastructure and video storage, Neon stores account and task records, and Alibaba Cloud processes the video for detection. The detection provider receives access to the submitted video, including audio when enabled. Resend delivers support emails; the payment provider shown at checkout processes purchases. Their processing locations may differ from your country.

When enabled, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Sentry help measure website usage and diagnose problems. Clarity may associate activity with a signed-in user identifier and email. See the Cookie Policy for browser storage and controls. We do not sell uploaded videos or use them to train our own AI models; third-party processing is also governed by the relevant provider terms.

4. Storage, retention, and removal

Uploaded source videos are retained to support playback in My Video. Completed reports and task records are stored with your account so you can revisit them. Closing or refreshing the page does not itself delete stored files or reports.

Videos and reports are kept while a subscription is active. Without a subscription, they are soft-deleted 7 days after the task ends; existing videos are soft-deleted 7 days after subscription expiry. Source videos and reports are permanently deleted 10 days after soft deletion. Manually removing a record from My Video immediately hides it and schedules permanent deletion after 10 days. To request deletion of a video, report, or account data, contact support and identify the relevant account and task. Do not send your password or API credentials.

We assess retention based on whether information is needed for the requested history, unresolved support or billing matters, security investigations, or legal obligations. There is no automatic same-day purge of all uploads. Deletion requests may require identity verification, and backup copies and records that must be retained may take longer to remove. Temporary links in reports may expire before the stored report does.

5. Security and your choices

The service uses authenticated access, account ownership checks, and signed storage URLs for video access. Treat downloaded reports and their temporary media links as private. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can review account information and saved reports in the application. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing; where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact support to make a request or privacy complaint. You may also contact the relevant data protection authority where that right applies.

Use browser controls to manage cookies and site storage. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or detection history from working. Avoid uploading unnecessary personal information, and obtain any permissions needed from people appearing in a video.

6. Children and policy updates

The service is intended for adults or eligible users with permission from a parent or guardian under the Terms of Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us to request review and removal.

We update this policy when the video detection service or its data handling changes. The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated through the website or appropriate account communications.
